Creating the downtown art pieces were a bit more challenging this year – being mechanical and requiring welding or special construction methods that a lot of artists do not normally use. The works are predominately made out of bicycle parts, hardware, wood, paint, recycled materials and a lot of imagination!
This year’s project is sponsored in part by the Fairfield Iowa Convention and Visitors Bureau. Area artists are invited to participate each year around a new theme. Ideas are already being discussed for 2014 and interested artists can contact the FAA throughout the year.
