Mystery Artist – “Out of Fairfield’s Past…. R. Davis” When County Supervisor Dick Reed found a very old portfolio of art work at the Courthouse, he was going to throw it out, but decided to take it to the FAA for someone to see. The work has been determined to be that of Ruth Davis from the early 1900s. Little is known todate, except that she was pursuing a career in illustration, probably in Chicago. There is some connection to Fairfield’s Lydia Montogomery family. As the mystery is solved, the FAA will make updates, but for now – you are invited to view an exhibit of 31 pieces from the collection of work by R. Davis.
