The Mark Shafer Memorial piece will be a geometric, two-sided vertical structure capturing imagery from a variety of Mark’s paintings. Each side will display four different sections of his works with an open area in the center. The frame will be constructed of steel with the majority of the piece made with bright colored porcelain tile. Strips of stainless steel will be used between the different sections. Bronze and brass will be used as accents within the colored tile. The piece should stand approximately 7 ft. tall.

SIDE TWO: Saint Joseph, Cupid’s Bow & Eros, Chickens and Carnegie Museum Owl
