“As a plein air painter, I paint by observation” states Baughman.
“I don’t restrict myself to subject or medium. I may paint industrial conglomerations outdoors,
or figurative from vintage pictures;
whatever has a combination of line or shape or rhythm which grabs my attention.
I also like to explore many mediums, from watercolor to woodcut to casein.
The fun is in the process and exploration of the work, and communicating a time, place or interesting
design to viewers.
design to viewers.
The challenge is to keep on keeping on and have fun doing it, and
hope that my enjoyment of painting comes through to viewers.”
